The Fornhund
The Fornhund is the most ancient group of canine, and are comparable to wild canids as we know it.
Ranging across all types of terrain, these canines have managed to adapt and survive despite being hunted throughout the ages.
Though in much smaller numbers than what they once were, Fornhunds have proven to be formidable to cross paths with.
The Windhund
Windhounds are comparable to any dog that belongs to the sighthound subgroup of breeds.
Among the fastest-running of the canine breeds, Windhunds are a group of canines who have extremely strong senses of sight and generally lanky builds. They are most commonly found in plains, grasslands, and deserts (especially rocky deserts/Sonoran deserts)
Windhunds are among the oldest and most established of the groups and are very deeply connected with the lands of their heritage. History recounts numerous situations where Windhounds were used to hunt down and ward off wolves from claimed territories.
The Jobbhund
Jobbhund are comparable to any dog that is considered part of the working group of breeds.
Though their emergence is relatively recent compared to older breeds (like the Windhund) they are no less integral to the civilizations that dogkind have built for themselves.
This breed of dog developed over centuries to preform specific jobs in the societies they found themselves in, including but not limited to; guard work for individuals, livestock, and property, draught, and sledge-work. Jobbhund have also heavily occupied Investigative in Rescue fields in more recent years.
The Jakthund
Jakthund are comparable to any dog that is considered part of the hunting group of breeds.
This breed of dog was specifically developed for easier hunting and gathering jobs over many generations. Working well alone or in a pack dynamic, they are skilled in a variety of tasks and are generally seen as very important contributors to society.
The Fullhund
Fullhund are comparable to any dog that is considered part of the sporting group of breeds.
The Fullhund is another long surviving breed of dog, though younger then the Windhund. With its aptitude for finding and driving out prey, these dogs have developed their skill across the plains and shrublands. Working alongside the Windhund they were able to drive the ancient wolves out and assisted in further spread of dogkind.
The Allhund
Allhunds are comparable to any dog that fits under the toy or non sporting group of breeds. Allhunds also include mixed breeds, or “mutts”.
Felines
The felines of Sundr are considered a minority on the continent. There are four distinct breeds, each with characteristics that make them unique, though their numbers have lowered drastically in the last few decades.
