Lore of the Birds
Featuring Thomas and Pippin
Since ancient times, the Fornhund have had a deeply rooted spiritual connection with avians. Referred to as "Felag", the wolves formed attachments with birds, most commonly ravens and crows.
Throughout the ages, as other breeds came into existence and distanced themselves from such spirituality, this bond weakened. The Fornhund see other canines as having lost their touch with the spirit of the moon and night.
So strong is this bond between canine and bird, that if the canine were to die so too would their bonded bird. If a bird were to die, the canine it was bonded to would lose much of its 'life force' and become a shell of who they once were.
Though quite rare, it has been known for birds to bond with common canines who have respect for the ancient ways. As such, these canines can sometimes be seen as outcasts from their groups and families.
